Which silvered 104 glasses for huge beads
What colors can stand up to a long time on the torch for giant beads without turning into poo?
I am on a Nortel Minor.

I don't make honkers myself, but I think the flame and the temp would make a great deal of difference. Working cool would probably keep more colors intact. Are you worried about smearing, separating or reduction effects?

In order to answer your question, would you give us more details regarding what you want to achieve? Are you looking for reducing, striking, or silver glass that both reduce and strike? What do you mean by "huge?" Do you encase?
The only silver glass that may turn to poo while worked long and hot is the striking ones. But you can usually re-strike again.

I do not want to encase, I was thinking vivid colors, not metallic and by huge I mean 2-3 inch long barrel. Thank you again!

You should be able to get and keep the colors with two to three-inch long beads on most striking silver glass... but Double Helix Terranova is more forgiving than many of the other ones, partly because it's the darkest thus allowing a wider range of color swing.

another idea is to make a base of another regular 104 (non silver) and then case it in your color of choice....this should keep the working time less on the reactive glass since most of the bead is clear or white or whatever.

I was mistaken, I had Luna 2.1 and did fine. What silver glasses do you like with Ivory?

Ditto! Here's one I sold pretty quickly this week and almost kept for myself I liked it so much. I can't remember which glass I used though.

I love working with ivory and silver glass but here is one I made on a base of black with Kalypso. Somebody needs to buy this one cause I'm really tempted to keep it.

TAGs Fire Lotus and Dalai Lotus are designed to work long and hot without washing out.
