Do please remember to think through all the safety precautions if you decide to demonstrate lampworking at an SCA event.
Exploding hot glass as well as eye damage from the sodium flare was a real danger back in the days of old and most folks didn't live past 35 anyway so eye damage didn't have decades to build up to over time.
You wouldn't want spectators or anyone getting very real injuries from the way they used to do things back then.
