I'll take photos tomorrow. I MacGuyver'd a vent today with roof flashing and a range hood...have to finish the sheet metal work tomorrow. Once I get it all beautified I shall photo my new set up and the strange graphite things. Maybe the oxycon will show up too...eeeheheeeee!!!

Just wanted to add a Yay! for the oxycon purchase from Hobbiesforus. Bought my Devilbiss from them 3 years or so ago and is works very well for my needs. (knocking on my wooden desk) Good people there too if you have any questions.

Here we go...

The finished venting and work-area. I used flashing to fabricate all the duct work.

The crazy copper/graphite things:

I went to FMG's website and they describe them as pushing tools. According to the information they provide, you can shave down the graphite portion as you wish and use it to manipulate your glass. Looks like a pretty cool tool.

TBC, thank you...I should give it's first test run tomorrow since the oxycon guy dropped the ball and lied a little.

That looks like a nice, light area to work in. Is your ventilation going directly out the window behind the hood? If so, make sure you close all windows within a 10 foot radius or you risk having the fumes get sucked back into your room.

LOL! Your enthusiasm is infectious. Waiting for a Saturday FedEx delivery? Rods already warming? That's awesome!

Enjoy yourself once it all gets there!

Doh!

I'll suggest one more addition to your studio: a nice aloe vera plant on one of those windowsills. They really do come in handy!

Ohhh, and I just took a closer look at your set up and noticed that your oxy line looked like it was run outside... you should keep your oxycon inside. It is not dangerous. If it gets rained on it is kaput.

Thank you for the complement...and no, it is inside, right behind where I work. It has an over pressure alarm that's supposed to let people know if the line is kinked or blocked, so I cant just leave it on all the time. I get the propane going then I switch the oxycon on. Thank you guys so much for suggesting it! It's freaking easy to use and I have a never ending supply of oxy....LOVE it! Really really really glad I didn't get tanked (tho it's bar night tonight so I will be tanked later... hardee-har-har)

I have had one f*ck-up...I didn't sand my mandrels so the bead release keeps flaking off when I'm trying to do larger beads.
