Where to get velvet bead trays?
Sorry, I didn't know which room to post this in!
I want to get some of those nice, velvet-covered bead trays. The kind with velvet dividers so that there are 12 to 20 (or whatever!) sections in each tray. In my Rio Grande catalog, all that they have are plastic or super-cheapy trays.
Any suggestions are appreciated!
Thanks,
Wes.

You might try www.nilecorp.com ... we've gotten some of the nicer trays and some cheap trays from there for the bead store. They take forever (well, a few days) to ship, but have a great range of display products .

Wes, there is a difference between velvet particle board and flocked/injected trays. The first is expensive and usually of higher quality. I've seen them as much as 30.00 for an insert. The second flocked/injected is inexpensive at 2-3.00 per. I use the second type and spray paint them with a matte color because I don't like black for display. Sucks all the light out of glass. I also use Nilecorp. Less expensive than Rio IMO. If your glass is fairly opaque you might be able to use black. Lori

Wes, Rio does have them. They sell the trays and the inserts separately. The inserts I just looked at on their site are velvet, and they have several types of trays to choose from, including wood. Check their website.

I get mine from jewelry supply also. I've found them to have the best quality and the best prices. Great customer service also.

Rio Grande also has a carrying case to put the trays in when you goto a show.
