Default Best torch for boro ornaments and soft glass?

I want to make blown round Christmas ornaments from boro. My primary love is soft glass. I am upgrading my oxygen concentrator to the EX 20.

I currently have a Nortel Minor on an EX 10 concentrator and propane.

Thoughts? And thank you in advance.

Scorpion. It's made to run on concentrators.

I keep coming back to that one. A bit more than I wanted to spend but I am seeing the benefits.

It's not cheap but very versatile and dependable. Your options are really limited with a concentrator. You could always connect a few concentrators to run a bigger torch but that's not cheap either and they take up space.

Is there another option for doing the boro ornaments using two ex 20 oxy cons?
GTT has a long waiting list right now.

I ran a Bethlehem barracuda for over a year on a H-1 and pulled 25 m tube without issue ( aside from skill LOL) , then upgraded to Bravo and am running 2 m-20's without issue.....Just sold the barracuda though - someone else just sold a used scorpion on LE as well. Look around. I know a lot of people are skittish about used, but most LE users treat their torches like gold and a lot of them are in really good shape and a fair value. Might be an option to get you up and running until you can decide on the ultimate torch.

Hi, my name is Kate and I represent Bethlehem Burners and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about our torches and how they work with and how they were designed to operate using low pressure fuel systems. I don't mean to impose by responding to your question. I'm sure you were looking for a non-biased opinion and I represent Bethlehem Burners so it's not like you are going to get a completely neutral opinion from me. I just love talking with glass artists about their projects and torch needs so if you ever need any info, please don't hesitate to contact me. Good luck with torch research!

You can also find Bethlehem torch info at our website and FB page http://www.bethlehemburners.com

I ended up going with a Carlisle Hellcat. I absolutely love it! I am running it on two EX 20s.

Cool. How does it run on them? Do you run inner on one and outer on the other? If not, do you notice that the atmosphere of the inner fire changes when you turn on the outer fire?

I run both when melting the big tubes and both atmospheres seem the same. I love the control with this torch. I can make a very fine point of a flame or a large bushy flame.
