15mm standard wall or 12 mm medium wall if you want to make icicle type ornaments with small blown round sections. if you want to make a roun d abll thats a medoum size try 18mm standard wall.

I have a tutorial.. all of it doen ona minor. You can also use neon sign tubing, whicj is soft glass, 90 coe. ist VERY cheap like abuck apound, and most neon shops will have buckets of scarp they will give you for free thats about a foot long or less each. choose the 15 mm for that type of glass

good luck

Candice

Deb, Candice's Blown ornament tutorial is wonderful! If you haven't tried tubing yet it WILL be very helpful.

I like the scallop simax... 30mm is the normal size..
Some artists like the control of 25.4 x 4 wall. The added wall thickness
gives you more mass to pull into points without using a big torch.
Minor size is all you really need for ornaments.
If you are doing powder rolls... or adding color, then 20 x 2.2 wall or a 26 x 2.4 wall.

PS.. Candice, I love your ornaments!!

Default tubes/ornaments

I found a source for tubing in 10 mm and 15mm in clear.

only problem is I have to buy at least 50.00 worth, so I am trying to make sure it will work. This is sign glass for making neon signs as mentioned earlier. Is there anything I should check out before I make up my mind about trying it?

I have to purchase Candice's tutorial before I purchase anything.

Thanks.
Candice are you here, need to get the tutorial.

Cher
