How thick of a wire does on get to use for wire wrapping beads?

Liz, I've used everything from 10g all the way down to 28g, but generally the range is 18g-24g. Oh, and if you're using silver, get it full soft. By the time you're done wrapping, it'll be work hardened.

I like to use 20 gauge for necklaces and 22 gauge for earrings.

Depends on what your making.
People tend to use marbles for big things sculpture stuff

These garden spinners use around 14 gauge some go up to around 8

These wands start off with 3/8" square stock.

In general 18 to 26 gauge is common for jewlery pieces.
though some use a heavier wire to frame something like bonsai trees.
