Try running a search on faceting machines. I have Hi Tech, but there are several models (and prices) to choose from.

About half-way down. This is the Hi-Tech I got to use at Heritage Glass last week in Andrea Guarino's class learning to make (or attempting to learn to make, lol) her Galaxy Within bead. The machine was very cool and easy to use with Andrea's help. My next new toy. Christmas is coming up DH.

Try GOOGLE search for "faceting" and read up a bit... Most references will be to "gem" cuts, but what you are most interested in is the "process".... Once you understand the process, it will be easier to determine quality and extent of equipment you may need...

The flat lap machines work well, but getting a clean facet without scratches takes time. I usually go though four or five different wheels before the final polish. I use a felt pad and cerium oxide on the final polish. I like the "All in One" kit though Arrow Springs to get an easy start.
If you want to make multiple facet on your pieces, consider the faceting machines likes those used for gem cutting. I use an Ultra Tec for these. These beads have 36 facets or more and take eight to ten hours each.
