Newbie
Hey Everyone!
I am new to lampworking and was hoping you guys could help me out. I want to find a good book that is a good guide for beginners and also covers all the basics of lampworking.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I would suggest Passing the Flame by Corina Tettinger. You can check the Garage Sale part of this forum for one.

Welcome to The Addiction, Jessica!
Another good book is "Making Glass Beads" by Cindy Jenkins.
If you read the past Tips n Tricks pages, bit by bit when you have a few minutes to spare, you can really pick up quite a good education about glasswork. I still enjoy searching the old pages.
LE is a great place, hope you spend many happy hours here!
All the best to you,
Helene

I'd second " Passing the Flame", it really does have pretty much everything you'll need to know to get started.
Though, if you're looking for eye candy and some inspiration, I'd also recommend " 1000 Glass Beads", by Lark Books. There's some seriously amazing beads there, and after you've figure out how to make them from PtF, you can spend the rest of your life practicing creating your favorites…

Cindy's book is just wonderful. I started to glance through it after first buying it, and hours later I finished the last page about 3 in the morning. Passing the Flame is really good too, but for beginning, Cindy's book is unbeatable.

Greetings to you too, Icewoman! Hot glass is soooo seductive, isn't it?!
Hope you hang around here a bit, you'll learn lots and make good friends.
All the best to you,

Welcome to LE.
I agree with both books mentioned but I will say that Passing the Flame is the ONE book I will NEVER EVER lend out. Anything else I own, friends may borrow but not that book.
Just my thoughts.
