Talking Beads from Jablonec

Not sure it really belongs in this category, but.....

Always wanted to know more about Czech glass and beadmaking? My new book 'Beads from Jablonec' is finished!

It can be downloaded for free on my blog.

It was a lot of work, but it gave me a much greater understanding of the bead industry, and also allowed me to ask questions and visit places I otherwise would not have done. It is a lot easier to ask 'Can I interview you for my book' or 'Can I look in the archives of the museum' when you are doing research.
It is my third book on beads, and very happy with it.

Alli, I think you are the first one to get back to me after reading it. Glad you liked it! On the same website, my book on 'Beads from Tucson' can be downloaded for free. In the next month or so, I will set up a new website, where also my first book 'Beads from Briare' will be available for download.

As requested by those in the Bathroom, I am adding some more info on my other books.

My first book was 'Beads from Briare', about a French bead factory that was the first to make Prosser beads. A tale about beadmaking at the time of the Industrial revolution. It is available for sale through Blurb, but not for download yet. You can find more info here:
http://beadmuseum.wordpress.com/2011...now-available/

My second book was 'Beads from Tucson' which was filled with interviews and stories of the Tucson Gem and Bead shows. May be some familiar faces for you in there..... It is available for sale on Blurb, and can be downloaded for free on my blog:
http://beadmuseum.wordpress.com/2012...our-book-here/

In a month or so, I hope to finish a new website with a digital collection of bead sample cards. All three books will then be available for download there for free both in PDF and Epub. Just in case you would consider buying the Briare book, because it is not online: I would wait, unless you really like a printed copy.

Writing these books is a complete non-profit thing for me. The price for the books, is what Blurb charges me to print them. I love writing these, doing the research, and I love sharing the results.
