How simple or complicated do you want them to be?

If you want simple, maybe Effetre Mosaic Green base with some goldstone stringer detail - possibly a neat stripe near each hole. You could encase the green with clear. DH Aurae is a gold-lade reactive glass that you can reduce to make a gold look. Or, if you want, you could make the solid dark green base and core it with brass tubing.

If you don't have or don't like Mosaic Green, you can try encasing white, a lighter green, or light grey with a dark transparent green.

My dad is a helicopter pilot and flew for the Green Berets (among other jobs) many, many years ago when he was in the Army.

PS, Amy's Storm tutorial (AKDesigns) has some color combinations in it that might interest you. Maybe you should contact her.
