Default Recommended Pressures for Propane & Oxygen

I have done a couple of searches but I think I am more confused than when I started

I have my oxygen & propane bottles connected to my torch, I have a regulator & my flashback arrestors but I'm confused about the gauges on the regulators & what pressure they should show (or be set at).

What should the pressure on my regulator be set at for my oxygen & propane? I am running a cricket if that makes a difference?

ETA. how stupid do I feel right now

Recommended pressures for the Cricket should be listed on the instructions that came with the torch. Or if the sheet is missing the GTT site has a PDF that lists the recommended pressures.

However, did run the Cricket and set the propane at 5 PSI. Did not use tanked so the pressure was 5 PSI, then switched to a higher concentrator at 9.5 PSI.

The Cricket will perform better with tanked but does run well at 5 PSI on a concentrator. Using 10 PSI tanked oxygen will be fine.

Pressures:

5 PSI Propane
10 PSI Oxygen

Typically pressures are 3 to 1 ( 3x oxygen to 1 propane) for soft (soda lime glass) and 2 to 1 ( 2x oxygen to 1 propane) for borosilicate glass...

Do if you are running oxygen at 10 psi for soft glass propane should be about 3-3.5 and for boro about 5....

Much depends on torch though.... You need enough pressure to make flame stand off face of torch a tiny bit so face of torch stays cool....

Ultimately its the valves on torch that actually control flow...
