Default Sculptural Flowers Tutorial

I know a number of you mentioned that you'd like me to write a tutorial on how I do my flowers. I've been working on this for a couple weeks now and I've taken over 200 photo's so far. I'd love to see who all is interested before I go any further.

Here are examples of the flower styles you will learn if I continue to work on this.

If there is enough interest I may even include a bonus section on using these same techniques on making buttons.

So what do you say, should I keep going with this???

Interested, yes, but was hoping to see the chrysanthemum (long thin petal) style of flower in the tutorial too.

I remember one that is somewhat similar by Laurie Donnette, everafterartistry.com. It was for a pansy but was but different too. I also seem to recall something similar to the spotted floral bead at the bottom but...I'm old and the mind is gone so....

Sally Shepherd ~ HappilyEverArtist did a stargazers lily tutorial, and the others do look a lot like Laurie Donnette's ~ everafterartistry ~ pansy tutorial.

That said, Donna, I'm still certain a number of people would purchase yours if you took the time to create it and put it out there.

Yes, that's it Sally Shepard, but definitely Donna, don't let it discourage you. It looks like you plan on offering more then one item anyway, so i'm sure you' have lot to share.

Exclamation beads are new to me.

I found this website accidentally when looking for a source for bottle caps. I joined because I was intrigued. Your glass beads are just beautiful!!!!! I am a self taught artist. I would really like to learn how to make beads. If you would offer suggestions I am all ears. Again your beads are spectacular!!!!!!!

Hi there krazymate. Thank-you for your nice comments on my work.

For classes, I guess the first thing one would need to know is where you live. There are people that makes beads everywhere. Look in your local phone book for glass shops/studios. Or look online.

And this thread has a listing of upcoming classes/workshops:

http://www.lampworketc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=27

If you live anywhere close to me I'd be happy to teach as well. Good luck!

Another update, I'm moving along nicely. I've got both the flower sections finished and I'm going to start of the bonus button section of this tutorial. Quite possibly I could release this sometime tomorow, if my eyes hold out, lol.

It's getting kind of blurry looking at this computer screen constantly. LOL, not really blurry but I am getting a bit of a headache....

Soon....it will be ready very soon....
