I've seen some realistic ones that look like they were done with cobalt and enamels.

Thanks.
I'll give that a try.
I'm thinking of mixing some glasses too.

Paula,
I've never used that glass. Will it reduce and cause a shiny surface?

Yes! Taxco 104 is a Trautman color. It turns blueberry reduced over ivory.
I just remembered that I have a Lauscha color called "blueberry" but I haven't used it yet myself.

:::sigh::: Vetrofond had an opaque dark blue that was like navy. Would be perfect with some enamels.

Elizabeth Johnson makes the most gorgeous realistic berry beads of anyone I know. Here are her blueberry beads for inspiration. Looks like a periwinkle color glass and navy enamel. Check out her raspberries - amazing! I have always wanted to buy some of her beads - I think she is fabulous!

Mine are not as pretty as Elizabeth's but I use a base of black then blue and white enamel, mixed together, on top.
I've tried everything else and like the black the best.

I made blueberries last night and got good results by encasing edp with ink blue then dusting with baby blue enamel.
