Default Stop my mind from wandering...where it will go

Do you find that you think of specific times or events when you torch?

I've noticed that I often think of one particular afternoon when I'm melting the bead to roundness. The time I think about wasn't important, or happy or sad--I was really just killing time. I don't ever think about it at any other time.

I've been trying to figure out the connection; the best I can see is it was something that happened during a period of weeks when I was learning implosion flowers, so I was melting glass a lot.

How 'bout you?

Maybe it was stress release day for you. I find if I am not feeling very creative due to stress I will just pull stringers or make twists for some reason My mind will start to mellow out

I have noticed that looking at a bead later makes me think of what I was thinking when I made it. Lampworking requires such focus it's like meditation.

It's like meditation for me. I'm totally in the moment - don't think about anything else. A form of mindfulness.

Well, I've managed to reprogram. Now I find myself thinking of Beatles tunes. It's an improvement.

I often think about a particular person, whom I really don't know very well, when I am shaping my bead ends, and at no other time... I must have explained that part to him once, or maybe we were looking at one of my beads, and discussed the ends, or something. I really don't remember, even though I know I have discussed lampworking with him in the past. Then, as I'm thinking of him, I always ask myself the same question... what is the connection between bead ends and Frank? lol...
