Default Metal cutting safety glasses?

Is tthe ACE #3 and the ACE#5 the same as a welders shade 3 and shade 5. I'm comparing safety glasses right now and wondering if these would work.

The shades #3 and #5 welding are same level of protection as glass shades #3 & #5 for protection from IR and UV.... However ACE glasses also block sodium flare (orange ball of fire) surrounding hot glass, welding shades do not offer same filtering protection as ACE or Didymium glasses...

If you are looking for inexpensive work around for eye protection these are not the answer... Unless you are willing to give up the additional need to filter sodium flare from your work... Sodium flare is not harmful to eyes but it is difficult to do detail work through the "ball of bright light" surrounding your beads...

Thank you for the response thats sort of what I had come up with. I don't think I'll be able to see what I'm doing therefore they would be a waste of money.
