Lowes; Menards - go to lowes.com or menards.com and search pvc fencing I think home depot sells it too - we don't have one of those

I always love to share my source. There is a man who comes around on the night before trash pick-up and salvages all sort of metals for recycling. I asked him one time to keep an eye out for the plastic fence materials for me. Every so often, I find a stack of the pieces in my front yard. I call him the "PVC Fairy". So far he has done a wonderful job with accomodating me to the point that I have never had to purchase one piece. If you have a local recycler, you might ask him to do the same. It's my green contribution to the world.

Ummm.... It may not be plastic fence post you want unless you want 4" X 4" cubbies...

Plastic FENCE RAIL gives you three 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" cubbies in one 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" rail section...

Possibly....

http://www.afence.com/store/product....cat=540&page=1

This in NOT a endorsement for this supplier...

Lowes does not have it online anymore, but some stores do stock it.

The fence rail I got at Lowe's came in 16' lengths. I had to go home and get a saw to get it in the truck, they wouldn't cut it, not even in half. So we made a mess in their parking lot. lol

Google "vinyl fencing" and your location. If you have a company nearby, they may be willing to let you dumpster dive their scrap or sell it to you at a discount.

Our local building supply store (Meeks Lumber) sells rain gutter downspout material in 10 ft lengths, $10 each. I believe it is pvc (white plastic). They cut it for me on site for an additional $5.

I just called a local fencing place. They let me come pick through their scraps. They sold it to me for the same cost the recycler gives them $.50/lb. I got about 18' for $10.

I cut mine with a skill saw, and then use a leaf blower to blow all the crud out of them.

In case you are still looking, I found vinyl fence rail (1x3 cubbies) in the garden section of Lowes, not inside with the wood and fencing material. I used Gorilla Glue to make sections of 6 pieces and attached some cardboard to the back. Holding up well so far.

I just ordered the rails with the sections form Lowes. Had to special order and used the info from the other thread. Prinited off the item numbers and took them with me. For your benefit, here they are again.
VEND PART # 73061401S
they run $13.27 for an 8' section. two weeks to come in, no special order or shipping charges to pick up at the store.

I'm sure you could call and order them if you didn't want to go twice to the store.

Thats what i ordered too. Same vendor part# and price as well. They are a special order item. They are located in the lawn and garden area at lowes outside. They are perfect!

i just picked some up at Menards yesterday. i also bought the shoe storage thing with twelve compartments and the fencing fits perfectly. that gives me 144 compartments, thats plenty for me because i only use 104 pretty much it was great to have those fence peices just fit, for me, it works great.
