Reichenbach reds?
I need recommendations from you Reichenbach users. I would like to know which transparent red and which opaque red are the closest to a real red. In other words, I do not want an orange red. I ordered some Reichbach reds earlier this year and I'm not happy with them. In particular, do you have favorite reds that you have used for floral colors in encased beads?
Thanks for your help!

Hey, I`ve used the Corail Red and Opalorange reddish (wonderful opaque reds, not orange) of KUGLER COE 104. Typical red, perfect for beads with amazing color effects. But not in rods, grits ... of COE 96, it is not compatible! I know the Reichenbach ones ....

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll definetely try the strawberry transparent. Does anyone have a red opaque Reichenbach to recommend before I place my order with Olympic?
Thanks so much
Jennifer

R69 Coral Red is a nice opaque red. It surprised as the frit looks a little orangish, but it comes out a red-red. Here's a quick scan of R69 on moretti white:

I have some of the Roma Red. It is neither pink or orange, it's red. Kind of translucent.

The beads on the leftt are Coral Red. The beads on the right are Antique Red by Reich.
The strawberry is tough to work with to make a base bead. It is a casting color, so it is VERY dense and will get yellowish if worked in even the slightest reduction. Best bet would be to make a base of Spectrum 96 clear, cover in Strawberry, then encase in clear.

We think alike! These are some beads that I posted in the gallery this summer. I love red and raku together. But, these beads are Effetre and raku. I've never used the Reichenbach as a base for anything. Maybe that's how I'll use the reds that I'm not all that fond of. That Reichenbach Antique Red looks interesting.
Thanks for your help.
