That's fantastic. I love putting "things" into marbles and seeing what happens.

That is too amazing for words, and I hope to heck it doesn't crack, & love those pictures, they are really pretty. I think you are on to something, imagine it surrounded by fume! Do you have more of these special rocks?

Thank you Mary - and, yes . . an endless supply by the way, they are vulcanic rocks - pre-heated by nature. I live in an area, where there are lots of old vulcanos.

thank you Laura - I am just having fun with glass and always trying new things. But my oxy is empty and I can't afford the next bottle, so there will be nothing new for a while. Hope to see some stuff you guys are making

PS: It didn't crack - woohoo!!

Sell that damn marble man, get your self some O2. Your glass is good enough to suport your habit. You need to be creative and find a way to sell your work Bernhard, not keep it in boxes.

geoffrey, I think you need to take the punty bits off the bottom - it's not a nice finish. Love your natural shapes, but you need to take more care on your bails. Your glass is coming along nicely - take your time and redo it if it does not look good. While it is hot, you can practise to get it just right - you will get there . . great effort and you got some beautiful colour!

I always look and drool at the things you all make out of boro. I think I finally have something worth putting out there. No cool colors or anything fancy and my cloud looks like an elephant brain but I am happy with it.

I am taking mostly boro classes at Glass Stock and can't wait to get instruction from people who know what they are doing!

get yourself a bit of stainless wire, bend a hook and use that through your bail to hold the pendant - this way it is easy to take that bit off. Also, you seem to have a hot seal with your punty - that should be a cold seal that comes off easy and does not leave anything behind. A little flamepolish should take care of the punty mark.

Holding with tweezers is OK. Sounds like you need longer tweezers so you won't be burning yourself. Get yourself a pair that are about 12" long and you won't have any problem.

Roy, it is a clear core with Northstar Silver Creek and a few small stripes of Northstar transparent green all twisted together and then VERY THINLY encased with clear. The Silver Creek will give you a beautiful purple if not encased. I did not want the purple this time so I encased it and did not strike it as long as I normally would. Normally I would want the purple it gives though. It is a beautiful cor I use over solid clear and in blown out tubing work.

Except for that first one, with the bigger meteor in it, that one was cool too.
that one sort of looked like a bud encased in glass.
