Has anyone used Dichro powder!
Hi All,
I am interested in trying the new Dichroic powder & was wondering if anyone on LE has tried it & how well they liked the results?
Thanks!

I have and I love it.
Excuse the bad photo but there is a very tiny amount of the Dichroic Extract in this bead. Photos only pick up about a third of the sparkle.
This is the first bead that I made with it. Barrel bead made of blue, rolled in the DE and then cased w/ clear.

I bought mine from Val Lewis.
It is expensive and comes in a little tiny glass vial. It takes very little to add sparkly goodness to your bead. I haven't had any issues with burning or scum.

I just bought some from Val. It was actually cheaper than on the CBS website.

It's the same stuff, but just CBS' splinter style dichroic.

It depends on what effect you're after. I like them both and use them both. Check out my FB Bead Page link under my siggy for tons of pics with beads using DE. There's also an album of DE beads in the photos section there.

Jane ... on the tube beads (which are stunning!!!) did you use the extract on the exterior or is it encased? The sparkle is something I can only dream about!!

Thanks, Kelley & Angie! The tube beads in my cover photo have the DE on the exterior. Sometimes I encase it though. There are encased examples further down on the page.
