Default Is there such a thing?

I am looking for a red that STAYS red when putting a silver glass (melted in) on top....is there such a combination? I've tied CIM Sangre with Triton and Precision Black Diamond and the red goes dark. I've tried Maraschino and Triton which is the best I have found but still not great. I don't care which soft glass or which silver glass ..... I just need the combination to give me a beautiful bright red with silver. What do you all use and if you have pics, that would be terrific! Thanks.

What about a layer of clear before putting down the silver glass? Hmm just wondering....could the silver be fuming the red?

Yes, that's exactly what's happening. I was just hoping to find a red and silver that got along together without a clear in between.

you might try one of the lauscha reds. I use silver glass on gold melon pink all the time and don't recall it ever fuming it.

Gold Melon Pink is not made anymore and can be anything between a transparent pink to a transparent red. The heart shown here is one of the darker red versions of Gold Melon Pink by lauscha. You can see that there is silver glass on the angel wings which is then encased, but there is no fuming.

Gold Melon pink is occasionally sold on ebay, and it's the old stuff!
