Why is it so difficult to learn to NOT over-reduce, to NOT over-frit, to NOT over-heat, and to NOT over-strike?!

Oh, yeah, and to NOT over-cool, like when you're admiring your gorgeous bead for too long before you put it in the kiln? *CRACK*

LOL Aimee! It comes with time. Try to think of it as 'bathing the bead', lol. I go in and out in and out of the flame. I dip in and skitter away quickly, it's hard to describe.

My nemesis for like the first three years was overheating. It took me forever to learn that you don't have to cook the poor thing.
