Red face Experience with glass pens?

Anyone have any experience with making glass pens? I just ordered this kit from Fire Lady: http://www.firelady.com/proddetail.asp?prod=LGPK

I LOVE pens so I'm super-excited about it but wondering how hard they will be to make. I'd also like to practice with some of my current glass before I get to the good stuff. Any particular skills I should try to perfect?

Thanks!

I've only done them in boro, but they're fun to make

Do a search on here, I know there are a couple threads on them hiding in the archives. I think one was started by Tink.

I use to make them a long time ago. They are fun but the tips are a bit tricky. If you need help with them or have questions, you can PM me and I will try to help you.

Here's some info on Arrow Springs:
http://www.arrowsprings.com/html/making_glass_pens.html

A thread here on Lampwork Etc, and that one will give you a link to some info on Wet Canvas.
http://www.lampworketc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1672

The best info is on Wet Canvas, it's just jam packed with info so I'll give you that link as well so you don't miss it.

(If the link doesn't work, edit the s out of your browser. It should be "http" not "https" Sometimes LE put in an S just for the heck of it.)

Thanks all! I had done a bunch of searching and read most of the suggested info but missed Tink's wet canvas thread. Reading voraciously now!

Thanks for the offer, Cynthia! Once I get going, I may well take you up on that.
