Default Off mandrel work

What tool do you use for doing off mandrel pendants? Do I need a duck bill, what is a duck bill? Where can I get one?

Help - Sharon

Never mind, what was I thinking? Found Jim Moore's site and he has exactly what I wanted. Thanks anyway.

For soft glass and boro I work on the end of clear rods generally. Sometimes I use a claw grabber or long non serrated tweezers for transferring pieces to the kiln, but I do most of my work on a punty.

I definitely just use rod, a lot of the time I'll cold weld the same color rod the part of the bead I'm welding too is made from, that way I don't accidentally end up with little spots of clear on my color.
