Default Overwhelmed is an understatement...

Hi, 8 years ago I stopped lampwork to open a store with my best friend of 40 years, which since she is no longer here, turned out to be the best decision of our lives. Long story short I walked out on my studio , just turned out the light and shut the door. My concentrator covered in dust, all tools, equip glass sits as it was last used. Well I retired a few weeks ago and since I continue to have passion for hot glass I'm gonna open the door, turn on the lights and figure out where to start, any reminders, suggestions, conversation? I AM EXCITED PEOPLE!!

I recently did the same thing, welcome back! I had to break up my solidified bead release into chunks so I could get it out of the bottle, then mortar and pestle into dust so I could reconstitute it. I also had to wash all my rods, even though they were packed away, they just didn't feel clean.

I’m just getting back into it after a looong break too! I know what you mean about feeling overwhelmed. I guess I thought I’d fall back into it easier than I have. I need to stop worrying about trying to make exactly what I used to make and start making fresh stuff.
