To determine if you want a high-resolution or a low-resolution version: High-resolution = good quality, crisp, and sharp images Even if you don't plan on taking this to a service bureau to print, as long as you have a decent inkjet printer at home, this may be the version to go with. Low-resolution = for viewing on your computer monitor If your home printer is just adequate or if you only plan on viewing the pdf on your computer monitor only, then this version is perfect for you. Hope this helps!

ETA: sorry, introductory price is over, thank you to all of you who took advantage of it!!!

Wow, thank you so much!
I understand there is a second book and a third book. Is there also a SE1?

Thank you, Margriet!
For customers like you, I have listed SE1 . . . here is what I wrote in the description:
"This is the first e-booklet and contains less than 1/3 of the amount of beads and description as the other e-booklets. This was included in the CD version of SE2 free of charge but with the release of SE3, it's too complicated for me to keep including on one and not the other. I was going to just not offer it at all but since I do receive request from those who want the complete set . . . I am offering it at a very nominal fee, available only in low-res pdf."
It's available in pdf only for $3.00.

SE3
I'm lost, what is the real difference between high res and low res? It looks like the low res is for my computer with one printing....the high res is a book with something that can be printed at Kinkos one time...am I close? Thanks, Karen

Karen - It's the quality of the images. High res = nice, crisp photos while low res = screen viewing. If you have a decent home inkjet printer, you should still go with the high-res if you want the images to look nice.
If you are going to just look at the pdf on your computer screen only, then definitely go with the low res version.
Hope this helps!

I have a question.
Do any of the contributors receive any of the money from this sale?

Jana - There is no monetary compensation. All the participants who wanted to be in the e-booklet included with their exchange beads the how-to description – it's completely voluntary. One could be in the exchange without being in the e-booklet.

As one of the participants, I'd like to add in a comment, please.
To me, the opportunity to submit beads for potential inclusion in an exchange booklet is similar to submitting beads for review in other bead or glass related publications. It's very exciting to see my bead/instructions/name in a booklet amidst the other wonderful entries of my peers. I hope the other exchange participants feel the same way!
All of the participants get rewarded on several levels throughout this exchange. We share tips/tricks on how to work silver glass throughout the course of the thread, submit 3-7 beads/how to instructions and then receive 3-7 beads/how to instructions in return as well as a copy of the compiled e-booklet from the exchange.
I've never put something together like this, but I'm sure that Hayley has spent many hours organizing this 70+ page booklet where she did all of the photography, photoshop work, layout, text, etc. If I weren't already a participant in this exchange, I would certainly be willing to pay for a copy of this silver glass booklet. Great work all!

Steph, this is exactly how I feel! And right now I'm so very excited to see one of my beads in the "preview" of the tutorial! Thanks, Hayley! I've learned so much as a participant of SE3 and I'm just glad to be in SE4, I'm glad to have the chance to be a part of this project, I'm happy to be accepted! I'm totally aware of the fact that it is an enormous work to organize the exchange, host all those beads, take excellent photographs, put it all together in a 70+ page booklet and so on. It's absolutely o.k. and I do hope that Hayley will get some monetary reward - I hope my words make sense...?! Each participant of SE3 had had the choice, it had been up to us to decide if we want our own beads and recipes to be published in the booklet or not. AND: The booklet gives us participants the possibility to see (almost) all the beads that had been in the exchange and that's just excellent as well!

Steph, and Martina,
Very well put. This booklet is like eye-candies all in one place. Talk about bead porn....
Martina, your English is excellent.....put mine to shame.

I have them all now! SE1, SE2 and SE3. I am so happy with it. Looking at all those inspiring beads (many thanks to the makers) and then reading what glass was used.
I find it also very clear that you can take some glass and then look up in the book which kind of beads are made with that glass.
Sometimes I have glass that I don't what I can make with it. But perhaps I am the only one with that problem!

Hayley, you did a fantastic job by putting all this information and beautifull beads together!!! Received my copy and I am very happy with it.
As soon as I find some spare time I am gonna try some other combinations.
I am a little bit proud to be in the 3rd edition between all these gorgeous beads.
Hayley, keep up the good work. I am looking forward to number 4 already!

I just received the SE3 tutorial the other day and I am amazed at the beautiful beads and the amount of information contained in the tutorial. Hayley, you did a wonderful thing by publishing this and thanks to all the contributors, because without you this tutorial wouldn't exist! Thanks so much, Hayley, for doing all of this work for the community. It is absolutely wonderful!
