Any and all are welcome. Heck anything you can make island, sea, underwater, turtle, fish related is welcome. Any money they make selling them will come in handy!

I'm making a few when ever i can so I have a load to take with me as well. If you all want my address for mailing PM me.

We are leaving Oct 26th. I'll bring back lots of pictures and videos of the little critters you all are helping to save with me!!

Marcel's turtle is AMAZING in person..my non-glass husband was totally impressed with it. Just a reminder, I will be leaving Oct 26th so need to have all donations before then.

I'll try to get a photo of what we have going so far!! They are beautiful!!

DeAnne, I love them!

Becky, DeAnne did it, you just post on it. I am ashamed to say I had forgotten, so I am hoping I will remember now to do a few.

I almost never come out of the Bathroom so I hadn't seen this thread before. I'll have to see what I can do. Angelique

The turtle is it of the oven! He's pretty cute, except for a string of glass that flew across his back and stuck and looks like a crack, but it's not, I promise. I haven't cleaned him up yet, but I'm happy with how he turned out. He told me his name is Lewis.

Default Construction

I am really struggling on the construction of these. I do them off mandrel boro, but I have a hell of a time getting the fins evenly placed. I normally put a hot gob of glass on the side, mush it and then pull it out with a glass rod to a fin shape. Yesterday I tried the technique of making th fins first and then adding them later. I think I left too much glass to join them on, since there was quite a bit of finessing to get the shape back to acceptable. So what is your technique in adding fins?

I'm hoping that I'll be able to get some more made. Things have not gone exactly as I had planned since I signed up for this. Been getting kicked in the butt on a regular basis, but it will try to get some more made. My last two have looked like crap.

Oh I do wish I had seen this sooner. I recently bought Mary's tutorial. I made one I was pretty stoked about. It turns out 3 yr olds are pretty good testers of craftsmanship, the leg snapped off right at the seem. But if it would help I will send it and if I can get any torching in soon I will make more.

I'm sorry, but I got sidetracked and didn't make any yet, but maybe you could get an address for us to send them direct to the cause later?
And yes, I'd love to see photos!

I know this thread is old, but it was curious if you'll be going back this year?
