HOT GLASS SCULPTURE
Karen Willenbrink-Johnsen
$850 + $100 material fee (non-refundable)
November 29-December 3, Mon-Fri (10am-5pm)
This five-day intensive class will focus on hot glass sculpting. Both solid worked and blown forming techniques will be covered. Special attention will be paid to bit work, color application, texture, and torchwork. The use of the garage for assembly will further illuminate the vast possibilities when working in glass. Participants will focus on their own ideas translating sketches and images into sculptural work. Because of the nature of the class, teamwork will be reviewed and stressed.
This class requires students have at least two years of glass-handling experience.

Her work has also been exhibited at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, the Jenkin Johnson Gallery in San Francisco, and the Gardens at the Chapell Gallery in Boston.
