We still have a few spaces left for BeadCamp with Kim Fields, May 10–14. Come join us for a great week at BeadCamp!
Floral Beads and Sculptural Birds
This five day workshop is designed to strengthen your skills as a bead maker and assist you in achieving your own unique sculptural floral designs. Demonstrations include a variety of single and multi-petal flowers. Techniques will include assembling canes, color mixing and overlays, temperature control, creating complex components and precision stringer and dot placement. This class is intermediate level.
Learn to make a bouquet of beautiful sculptural floral beads using many of the flowers found in your own garden as your inspiration. Come away from this workshop knowing how to make all of the components of each flower including the petals, stamens, and leaves.
After we have learned how to make flowers we will learn how to make a variety of beautiful sculptural bird beads using many birds found in your backyard as our inspiration. Demonstrations will include making simple birds to learn shaping and moving to more complex realistic ones.
