Default And so it begins ...

Yay! Nearly all of my gear came in yesterday. Dropped a good chunk of change at Sundance Glass, and still have a couple items I need from Mountain Glass. But this is almost everything. Definitely enough to allow me to actually lay everything out and start building my work space!! I'll probably keep this thread going as a kind of work in progress as I get my studio fully set up. Can't wait to start melting some boro on my personal equipment!

Thanks for looking!

Great start! Where is your eye protection hiding-- or did I miss it?

Please don't forget about the two most important things, proper lamp working safety glasses and ventilation! Don't let your new hobby/love kill you..

YES!! You are both correct! The eye protection is out of view, I have 2 sets. One is a Shade 3 ACE IR, and the other are standard 202ACE didydium lenses.

And as far as ventilation, you can rest assured this torch won't be fired until I do a smoke test! I'll be posting pics of everything once I get some actual building complete.

What sort of pieces are you going to be doing, em, Thumb? Looks, from the tools, that you have some marbles in your future?

You're well underway on your setup. Welcome to the addiction
