Default From Mapp-pro to Chemtane

I’ve been using map-pro (1 lb. Canister) with a hot head and am frustrated because I want to be able to work more than a half hour at a sitting. Saving $ on bulk gas would be nice too. I called my local gas guys and Chemtane was suggested as a bulk substitute. Question: can someone tell me how to set up the torch assuming a 25 lb. bottle sitting on the floor. Currently the 1 lb bottle is attached via a big hose clamp to the side of the work area and the hot head torch screwed on top of the bottle. Do you just put a hose clamp around the hose from the large bottle.. and screw the torch to the hose. Doesn’t sound quite as stable as I’d like it to be.

BTW I'm accustomed to used the hot head but am not married to it.

Thanks in advance - Barb

First off, ITS NOT SAFE to have big bottle of "fuel" sitting on floor below torch.......... IF you are contemplating this, DON'T...

Safest, solution is to have long hose so bulk tank remains outside....

The dangers of using bulk tank and long hoses has been aired may time in many threads... Suggest some research and heavy reading in Safety & Torch forums....

Might be time to move on beyond HH.......
