Nortel Mege Minor problem
It seems to me that the center port or nozzle on my touch is clogged up. I have tried to clean it out with a touch cleaning tool but it is really clogged. Any suggestions as to what to try next? Thanks

The only thing I know to do is call Nortel to ask them. They were very helpful when I called them about a problem.

I got the glass out of my minor by heating it up with a reducing flame and shocking it with water. On a very bad clog I had to take the minor apart and reamed it out with a very stiff stainless steel wire. I only did this after I tried shocking. I was told by some friends afterword I was lucky I didn't ruin my torch.
Good luck I hated it while my torch was down.

The shocking thing shouldn't hurt your torch - that is what I would try first.

Thanks for the tips. I don't think it is glass, could it be carbon or dirt build up? Will the shocking thing work if it is not glass? Thanks for the help

The shocking will likely only help if it is glass. If it is carbon, the cleaning wire should be enough to get it out.

try using the cleaning wire included with the torch, but twist the wire gently when going in and out of the port.
i had the same issue this morning.

Thanks for all the help, but I am giving up. I called Nortel today and will be shipping it back to them for service. I don't know what is in it but it is really clogged.
