2 in 1 hose for 2 oxycons
So I just bought a second oxycon and I need a hose to hook the two of them to my minor. Does anyone know where I can purchase a 2 in 1 hose?
I bought my first hose from Kbinkster, here on LE, but when I wrote her about a 2 in 1 hose, she said she didn't know if she wanted to build one for me as she's thinking of getting into other things.
The second oxycon has this little green fitting that looks like a Christmas tree. Kbinkster said that piece could be removed. Anyone have any vendors they like? I'm in the metro Phoenix area, but I don't have any idea of where to get a hose like this.

I'm not sure what a two in one hose is, but can't you just use a y connector? Kimberly (kbinkster) was able to send me one and instructions on what else to get and how to hook it up, but I'm guessing you could go into your local welding store and they could help you figure it out. You could probably get connectors that would allow you to hook regular hose to your concentrators and a brass y connector. Alternatively, I wonder if a medical supply business would have the plastic y connectors that you could connect with vinyl tubing.

A welding store will have the metal ones and the fittings. You could also check other companies that sell oxy cons for glass work. Maybe they'll sell the stuff you need. It's pretty easy to hook it all up.

All you need it plastic tubing and plastic connectors with a plastic screw end on it. Take the oxy hose with you to home depot - once you find the right end piece that fits the hose, just buy plastic hose that fits that fitting.
This is one of the pieces you need - the green piece

Squid, she'd still need to find a plastic y, wouldn't she?
Here's the entire set up minus the hose to your torch. Scroll down to the last item.

I got this at an auto parts store. 3 or 4 bucks.
You can use extra oxygen hose cut to length if you have any or Lowe's or Home Depot sell all kinds of hose.

Thanks, Rebecca, I believe that plastic piece is what I need and some plastic tubing. I don't know if I need the Christmas tree fitting though. I don't have that fitting on the first concentrator (the one I use now), but the one I just bought has it. Not sure if it's necessary or not.

The fitting you need at the oxycon will depend on what's already on there

Right, what Squid said. Some have a barb end, some have a screw end with threads. Anyway, if it has the threads, use the Christmas tree and push your tubing onto that. You can have any length you want depending on where in your space you plug them in. Then you put that "Y" on, and connect to the oxy hose to your torch.
Aquarium suppliers might have tubing too, but I don't have fish tanks so don't really know.

Okay, so I called my local hardware store and they said they don't carry Y fittings, but they do carry T fittings. Does it matter which kind I use? The fellow at the hardware asked what I was using it for and he said he didn't think it would matter since it isn't a dense material flowing through the hoses.
I can always go to Home Depot, but they are further away and my A/C isn't working in my car right now and it's 105 degrees and climbing right now.

The T should be fine.

A "T" or "Y" are functionally the same. Lowe's and Home Depot carry the plastic types. Check in the plumbing section.
For effective use both machines should have the same output pressure.

Thanks, Alaska. Both machines are 5 LPM and 5 psi. I see you have a T connector. I bought those hose clamps, but I don't think they're necessary as the barbed ends on the T fitting seem to snug up just fine.
I'm all set up now. That was relatively easy! Especially with help from you all here at LE. Thanks again!
