Default Getting Rocio silver mist to pop without encasing?

Is that even possible?

I got my first silver glass from Rocio yesterday and have played a bit today (unfortunately I ran out of propane so further experiments will have to wait until tomorrow...).
I tried making a black bead with stringer scrolls of Rocio and while it turned out nice the colour was kind of murky. My next try was black base, then Rocio and then encased with Lauscha clear. Oh my! Did those colours pop or what!

Is it possible to get the glass to pop like that without encasing?

What about the Kandinsky and the DaVinci (never got a chance to try those due to the lack of propane...).
Are they better encased or un-encased?

It definitely will work un-encased! Might be better to use thicker stringers, or as a background. These are Silver Mist and Picasso, over clear with clear stringer work.
Which da Vinci, 1 or 2? 1 is more subtle, pale opal colours (second pic), DV2 works well either on the surface or encased. I've not used Kandinski.
