Wite-Out as Etch Resist?
I'm trying to draw thin lines on a bead before etching, and I'm having trouble finding something to use as a resist. I have a Wite-Out pen - will that work as an etch resist?

Can't speak for that, but nail polish works and you can get fine lines if you use a thin paintbrush rather than a normal applicator. I guess nail art pens might work?

I can't seem to get a decent line with the nail polish. I guess my polish is too thick - and it goops up on the brush. The Wite-Out pen seemed like a cool option. Maybe I'll try it on a junk bead...

That looks great David, but how do you remove it from the bead? It looks permanent!

Scrub it off with a little lacquer thinner

Puff paint for t shirts and a toothpick is my go to(and it's cheap). Bright colors are easy because you know exactly where it is, and where to remove it. I have heard that white out works ok though. Also Elmer's. Try etch resist sheets cut into strips or foam tape or those fake lead stained glass lines or nail art stickers as well.
