Default My DH full assortment 1st results

I did most of the 30, just not the ones I already had. My flame (1lb MAPP and Fireworks) is way too reducing, but I think I can probably use most of them for last-minute surface decorations. I was so excited to play with them that I played hookey from work! Next chance I get I'm going to either encase or add dots of Zephyr.
Ps. GRRR, I cannot make the pic upload right side up!

I see some of my favorites in there, and yeah, sometimes my pics load upside down or sideways too.

A lot of them had nice metallic luster going in the kiln, but it went away, which I kinda expected, it happens a lot with me and DH. I really liked Elpis, Oxalis and Helios

Shanna, from what I understand, if you're losing the metallic in the kiln, your annealing temp is too high. 920 is what I keep seeing.

That is what I was thinking too.

What does Notos "R" stand for? Is that the name of a DH glass?

I made notes to myself which ones are Reducing, Striking, Reset/Reduce, Technical, and Reduce with a brush flame.

I have a very basic analog kiln, I've gone down from 5 to 4 on the knob but I think 3 is probably not hot enough.

The "R" stands for "reducing." Notos is a nice silvery gray/green.

Shanna, you'd be better off getting a digital kiln controller to plug into your kiln between kiln and outlet. They can be had for fairly cheap and you'd still have to babysit it, but yiyd know exactly what temp you were getting.
