Default Phantom hook-up

I just got a Phantom 4-stud for Christmas.

I have a couple of questions for anyone who may know...

1. Do I have to have two propane tanks or can I put Y-connector on and split one tank to the two hoses?

2. I also got a new M-15 and I have a Devilbiss. Initially, I will probably be using the inner fire (Lynx) more so if I hook up M-15 to inner, and the Devilbiss to the outer, will I need to reconfigure in order to use the outer fire?

Thanks,

Lisa D.

a Y connector for the propane will work you may need to run it at a lil higher PSI but it will work just fine....As for the oxy I would run the Devilbiss on center and M15 on the outer the devilbiss just wont be enough OOMPH for the outer fire to run very well....but you could always but quick connects on the oxy and run the M15 on the inner fire when you work mostly and if you know you need to run outer flip them so the M15 is on the outer and devilbiss is on the inner.

I think the M-15 on the inner flame and tank on the outer. you really need to have a lot of oxygen on the outer flame. a min 3/8" neutral flame is recommended I believe, any thing less will over heat the torch. I own a phantom and have yet to find any thing less than a Pro 4 to run it in full, though I just need like you a source to run the outer fire. I had hope a hurricane would run it, but having order one that I sent back. I cant honest say if this machine will fit my needs.
