I know exactly how it is trying to decipher them.
I actually made a post a few years ago about abbreviations too.
IB - Intense Black (Effetre) that will web with some opaques for cool effect if you are expecting it and irritate you if not.
EDP - Effetre purple (Evil Devitrifying Purple) that there is a trick or two to working so that you get the pretty purple instead of the chalky surface.
I'm sure there are more, maybe someone else will add to the list.

You won't believe how long it took for me to figure out that "YB" means "yesterdays bathroom," as in yesterday's bathroom thread which we can now see for 24 hours and then it flushes.

I have to admit I've used DH (not the DoubleHelix abbr.) assuming it meant "domestic husband" - am I right? (Don't laugh too hard if I'm not...)

Thanks Eileen - that sounds even better! Domestic sounds kinda cold. Although my "dear husband" does all of the cooking for me so I can spend all my spare time melting glass! He even asks me when I'm at a good stopping point so he can time it just right... And he's always coming out to check on what I'm making. I did have to train him to make some noise as he walks up behind me to keep me from jumping since I'm so focused on what I'm working on... He does like to sneak up on me and scare me at other times, but sitting at a torch with hot glass in my hand doesn't go over so well...

My husband still walks up & just opens the door, and I told him one of these days I'm going to burn one of us!

Michele and Eileen: sounds like you both have keepers and a good sense of humor
It is a bit of a challenge to be new in a group that has meshed and created their own lingo but I'm getting the hang of it.
Just a side note totally off topic: this icon makes me think of the joke "pull my finger"...lol

Thanks, I thought it referred to a person and I wondered who the heck it was.

I think I have your husbands twin, this is a phrase I hear every night too, exact words. Years ago I would make what I called supper-time-beads, they were small enough to make in about a minute so he wouldn't burn supper.
