Default Yippppeeee Studio is up and working.... Love it

Well it's almost done...

Oh my goodness.... So I already told you I have been doing lampwork for 47 days as of today... DH is taking me out to dinner to cheer on the new venture. Two weeks ago I cleared out one of my bedrooms and took DH on a trip to Ikea. So I found a perfect work station that would allow me to have add ons. I bought (2) lazy susan's so I could use them for my frit and brass tools to keep it off my work area.

The work bench also came with the option to buy a shelf for the top. I found some wonderful spice holders and I was like "Oh my God" What a wonderful holder for my frit storage... Get the idea... Hey when DH has WAM on him and is wanting to spend it, I go for it... Oh WAM what is WAM "walking around money". LOL... giggle giggle...

So my shopping "spreea at Ikea" I'm just so giddy right now sorry... was $327.00 Not bad... Add that to the used glass holder and misc glass I found at a garage sale.... Yes I just about died when I found it... Couldn't believe my eyes... The total cost for (2) glass holders 20 bucks... Misc. glass 15 bucks (about 12 pounds)... Some of it not sure what I have I will post pictures later..

So here are some pictures of what it looks like as of this morning... I haven't done any glass from this new layout ... Next weekend the new ventilation system will be installed I'll have more pictures when that happends...

Enjoy the studio porn...

Looks nice.

But if I may...where is your exhaust system?

I don't see any tubing or fans. Is there a "concealed area" that extracts the fumes out the window that we cannot see?

I hope you don't think those three little vents (with louvres) on the front of your range hood are a filtering system.

Yes...I was wondering the same thing as Raymond. It seems you have a hood, but no ventilation. Ventilation is much more important than spice racks, it is the first consideration in building a studio. Period.
If you want to know more about ventilation, there is a lot of information here in the Studio threads.
I'd hate to see your "Giddy Up" get up and go...........

It is made from plexi glass. I'm not sure if is was intended for glass as I got this at a garage sale. The had (2) and I got both of them...

Just Checking in on this thread, and saw that you edited out the pictures that showed your "Hood to no where" hood that was not connected to anything, just a hood, but no ventilation. Did you ever get it hooked up? Please post a picture when you do, we'd all like to see that you are working safely.
