Default Brass or graphite better for beadrollers?

Hi all.

I am looking at buying a beadroller but wondering which is better for rolling. Brass or graphite?

Obviously brass is more durable but is it as nice to use?

I have used graphite & the beads roll very smoothly.
I don't want to give that up if brass is not the same.

Have any of you used both & which would you recommend?

I would appreciate any input at all.

Thanks!
Linda

I have both and prefer brass for its durability. If your bead isn't rolling smoothly on brass, just use a bit of beeswax. As far as functionality goes, they're pretty equal. Graphite is lighter weight.

I prefer graphite because brass grabs the glass and I don't like using beeswax.

I prefer brass to move and/or cool the glass, and graphite to shape the glass.
