Poppy glass question
Can you tell by looking at a rod of 942 if it is poppy or poppy watermelon or do you have to melt it?

it has a pinkish color in rod form, but it gets more orange when worked. If you post a pic, we can probably tell you.

that looks right - it is almost a pink grapefruit color in rod and then goes orange in the flame.

It looks like Poppy Watermelon- does it have a slight sparkle? I have only one sad moment I thought my gorgeous pinky grapefruit (thanks Squid!!!!) color would look 10 times better encased but it turns a sherberty orange. Just a little tip! Have fun with a great color

I am looking for some poppy glass if someone has some!!! That looks like the poppy watermelon, my poppy is more coral with pink color, that rod looks more pink but it could be the picture.

Have to agree. My Poppy looks nothing like that. But that IS a very nice color.

no, they are the same. Watermelon was the name given to it by Glassdaddy, but it is from the same batch.
