Default HH date id

Hi,

I've read that hhs made before 2004 are more adjustable than others. I've read the same about 06.

Does anyone know what year the design of the hh changed to make it less adjustable and how do I know the date of manufacture?

There is a sticker type label on the wheel/knob that turns her on, off, and adjusts the flame. This sticker has 2 dates.

Then there is an engraved date on the torch itself. the dates are not always the same.

I'd appreciate any insight that can be given to help me determine how old each hh is so I can see what the difference, if any, are.

Thanks alot.

Don't know about the date thing... Mine has no dates on it....

The change was when manufacturer got a way from using the "orifice"....

Later ones without orifice are less controllable....

no dates??? hmmmmm all mine have a little label on the wheel knob that turns the gas on/off. then underneath that there is a number engraved, 04, 05 etc.

I guess I can't tell if it has an orifice without taking it apart which I'm not about to do.

thanks Dale
