Question Marbles

Who makes small marbles (say 15mm or so) for actual play? My son is really getting into them and I'd like to buy him some small special marbles because the Chinese ones are just killing me! Such bad quality.

I don't really work that small, but I could try some. How many are you looking for? What style, color?

10 for right now and just your standard Lutz types but colorful? How much would they cost per marble?

I can't give you a price or commit to making them. All I can say is that I will give it a whirl today. If I come out with any that are passable, I'll sell them.

How do you feel about implosions and other designs besides the Lutz style?

I have 11 in the kiln. They were made with AP. A few might have flat spots because I let the kiln get 1460 when I took a break. If they do, I'll make replacements.

I looked at the luzt style, but their pattern comes from the way they are produced. They are made from large canes in the furnace, and that is hard to imitate on the torch, especially with boro. They will look super cool though.

I'll post pics tomorrow.

Ok that'll be great! If you don't hear from me, send me a PM. I'll be checking my email tomorrow. Thanks so much for making them!

richsantaclaus does playing size marbles also I believe. Don't want to jack your deal but if you need more of a different style.
