Question Metallic Black boiling?

I love the colors within this glass, but it boils easily. Even when I move it to the back of the flame, I'm getting tiny bubbles on the surface (working on a Lynx). My son said the raised decoration I made with it reminds him of 4th of July snakes!

Any advice?

Thanks,
Gretchen

Try keeping it in a slightly reducing flame.
Too much oxidation makes my blacks bubble.

I found that raised it was crabby. Once I has it melted in flush it didn't boil anymore. However, I was getting pinks and blues with it raised and after it was all melted in I could only get silver.

Thanks, Amy & Holly. The pinks & blues are gorgeous. I'll try the light reduction flame.
