What do you use for copper ear wires?
For some reason, I don't think plain copper would be a good choice for earring wires...too soft and oxidizes too easily. So what do you use and where do you buy?

I use jewelry grade copper wire from Rio Grande.

Theres a lot of people who are too sensitive to wear copper - of any quality - in their ears, and I am one of them 
Your best bet is to go with surgical steel, sliver, or gold for the actual earwires and use the copper in the body of the earring. Just my opinion obviously

wax
One way to take care of both the oxidizing on the copper and possible help with copper reactions with the skin would be to use Renaissance Wax on the final steps to finishing the earwires. It is a micro crystaline wax used at museums and in jewelry work. A small amount goes a long way.

Anodized titanium and niobium are other options though a bit more exepencive.
Some colors are close to an oxidized copper and may work for some pieces.
