There have been some tutorials on building a stand using camera tripod type hardware. Many just use the standard L-bracket with a hose clamp around the torch base. Here's a pic of what it would look like.

http://www.artglass1.com/hotheadr.htm

Note that bulk tanks are not without their frustration factor. You must periodically disconnect the hose and try to drain any gunk out it, which accumulates in the hose. At the end of the day when you vent the hose, it will vent fuel for quite awhile (approximately 10 seconds per foot of hose length, e.g., 2 minutes for 12' hose) before the pressure/volume drops to near zero.

Also, of the various hoses available, some use materials that are problematic for lampwork. http://www.artglassanswers.com/forum...opic.php?t=219

You will need a hose rated for a minimum of 300 psig working pressure. Bulk tank pressure can exceed 200 psig in the summer time. I stopped by the local 'home DIY store' last week and found that the hose manufacturers have now changed the rating on 'propane extension hoses' to only 1 psig working pressure. Either the change is for liability protection (do they read this forum?)... or perhaps the hose is less pressure resistant or no longer tested and certified.

The connector that goes to the tank (CGA510 fitting) should not have a rubber o-ring on it. These o-ring equipped fittings are from the pre-OPD valve days, and can interfere with the valve seal in the BBQ tank OPD valve. Furthermore, the fitting o-ring has documented failures... which allow the bulk tank to leak at high rates.

Finally, keep a 1# canister of MAPP around for if/when the HH gets gunked up. It is the preferred way to 'purge clean' the torch.
