Default Getting tequila sunrise (Effetre) to 'blush' pink?

Hi everyone,

I have a pile of tequila sunrise that I bought way back when, and I'm trying to play with it a bit.

Down the side/inside of the rod it has a really pretty pink color, but when I make a bead it comes out more of a light orangey-mango color. I can't seem to get it to 'blush' to that pink. I want the pink!!!! I know it is not a striking color but I feel like I should somehow be able to bring out the pink.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

I've searched around and can't come up with anything...

Thanks,

Julie

Many of the corals strike to their full potential, but I haven't used that one in so long I forget what it turns to...

glad you asked this--I've got a bunch of coral mango gathering dust. Can it do more than orange?

I think most of these are just variants of coral. Some will be streaky, and they will fall along an orange-red gradient, but they are all basically coral.

The hotter your torch, the more yellow-orange you are going to see. For the best results with the corals and keeping them close to the color of the rod, use the Hothead. Even with the Hothead it should be at a lower heat, like turning the torch down some and working further out.

For me it always comes out streaky orange creamsicle. Sometimes I get a patch of almost gray, and sometimes a tiny hint of pink, but never an all around nice pink

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll try working it cooler, thanks Lisa!
