Question cleaning mega minor torch

should my oxy valve be open or closed and should my oxy con be on or off while I clean the ports?

The holes are the propane ports, so running the oxygen won't do anything for those. I would just leave the oxygen off, clean the ports with the tip pointing downward so stuff falls out, and then run the torch really hard to burn up anything left behind.

I will follow the directions and I would never have thought to dip the tip downwards hahahahahahaha.
