Kaleidoscopes, Electroformed Acorns & Big Beads, Oh My! Lampworking for big kids, with Julie Nordine and the Electric Mandrel Spinner

In this 2 day class, you will learn how to work bigger & more efficiently. Julie will start out by having you jumping in with both feet, shortening the learning curve of the ultimate beadmaking tool: the Electric Mandrel Spinner (EMS), which will be used throughout the class.

You'll learn:
-shaping techniques for end of mandrel pendants & acorns
-earring pairs (2 on 1 mandrel)
-encasing & the pleating technique
-"chemical reactions": working with silver glass, wire & foil
-big hole charm beads
-bud vases
-working your way up to extra large kaleidoscope beads
-electroforming 101
-finishing techniques for end of mandrel pendants/earrings, kaleidoscopes, as well as capping & coring big hole beads.

Each student will be supplied with an Electric Mandrel Spinner to use in class. They will be available for purchase for 10% off retail ($235). Additional supplies will also be available for purchase.

Mandatory student kit/supplies: $40 - include supplies for finished pendants & earrings, capped/lined big hole beads, electroforming supplies for acorns & kaleidoscope kit

Tuition is $395.00 plus $40 kit fee.
A 50% deposit is required at time of registration.
