Default simulating bamboo

I'm hoping you more experienced lampworkers can give this newbie some help on trying to make a bamboo stick on a flat bead. It's the stick part thats giving me fits and kittens as my stringer control sucks. lol. I just need some pointers or pics and would so appreciate any help you guys can give me. Just a bare stick with the joint of the wood. I can do the leaves no problem. lol
Thanks

Mary-Anne

I would make a plain raised stringer of say silver rattan and use my knife to put two little cross ways indents every so often to simulate the knuckles.

If you want it melted in - I have no idea.

Use cased stringer and use it to draw the sections of bamboo - when you butt another section up to the first one you drew, you[ll get a little line between them. Any amber over white (or whatever) would work. jen
